Group Critique 2

I re-did my triptych idea so it would have less narrative but still express the same idea. Everyone hated it. Now I hate it. My next draft will be a one-painting affair.

Also, since I didn't put in a blog entry for last week responding to the crit the other presenters had, I'll just slip a comment in here. To the people who presented last week: You all had some inspired ideas.

  1. hahaha... well i dont think i hated it i just think that you wernt really going in the right direction with your triptic. i think the one painting will have a less of a direct experience but help keep the viewer locked into place tryin to fingure out what is going on. you did raise some strange questions in trying to include a timeless object and conveying that since really nothing is timeless. but the different perspectives viktor told you about entailed into one painting could make for a more dynamic and enticing painting. the ideas expressed make for a very awesome subject matter; loosing it is that interists you as time moves forward, and not really being able to expreience this world thought time, it is a single expreince of a human throught his life. so to do this in one persepective will be a challenge but defintally make it more reasonable. maybe consider a few generations of people and a very iconistic place that has sufferened some past drama but now is seen as a wonderful get away. as bob dylan once said, the times they are a changing, ron never heard that song.
